About the Audio-Republik

Who are we and What do we do

The Audio-Republik was set up in 2004 by Alex Burke a musician and producer from Margate, UK. The vision was to create a one-stop shop for bands and artists to come and record high quality commercial tracks for release. Now with the completion of the website the final stage of the vision has been realized. The Audio-Republik is an official independent record label and online music store selling on behalf of the artists. The revenue generated is directly passed back to the artist in full so the music doesn't just sit on a CD on a shelf gathering dust. All songs are given ISRC codes, barcodes and catalogue numbers making them eligible for the UK charts.

We are member of PPL, PRS and the GS1 with plans to join the BPI within the year.

History

One of the first projects undertaken by the newly formed Audio-Republik was the song "Tribute to the Disco Funk" released in France on the SONY BMG compilation "Tribute To The Disco Funk". During this first year recording took place for a South African singers debut album "Exemplify" by Khethi which has subsequently been released in South Africa.

We worked with Soul Destruction, recording, editing, arranging, composing and playing on their debut album "Decend the Trend" released by Union Black Records. We have also worked with Education based companies, and Game Developers making music and producing the audio e.g Scamps Music Ltd. based in Hampshire and Traffic Cone Design.

We work closely with our artists and recently have helped Hull based band The Gang achieve a slot on the Radio One playlist, Flava TV, as well as a slot on the BBC stage at the Reading and Leeds festival, playing with them live on stage. We also played live at the Cambridge Rock Festival for the band Sacred Heart.

Vision

The aim of the Audio-Republik is to be a one stop shop for all things audio. That includes making VST plugins and software for musicians and producers alike, right down to editing audio for websites and games.

We aim to also provide a platform for people serious about their music to get it heard, protect it legally, and generate some money for it where the links can be SEO'd and shared via social networks.

Coming soon will be the addition of the samples store and backing tracks for artists to use for showcases, releases or auditions.

There are a few more exciting developments in the pipeline so wait and see!
