General

Unless otherwise stated, all work(s) undertaken by the Audio-Republik are billed by the hour, at the rate agreed prior to commencement of the work. Any and all time is counted from the beginning of the session until the end.

The Audio-Republik assert the right to withhold any and all work on confirmation of non-payment. No work(s) shall be released until all monies are recieved.

Payment

All monies are to be paid at the end of the session in full unless the work is agreed as invoice prior to the commencement of the work.

We have no credit-card or automatic payment option however there are cash machine dispensers nearby and we take cheque.

There is an option to purchase a block of 100 hours at a reduced rate. Please feel free to enquire.

Invoicing

All invoices are directed from us at the Audio-Republik. All invoices are 14 day term and we accept payment by BACS, Cash or Cheque.

Copyright

Any artistic work or intellectual property created by the Audio-Republik is explicitly owned in full by them. Any work commissioned is subject to fair representation unless full rights are sought by the commissioning body for the work(s).

The Audio-Republik retains the recording copyright to any and all artistic work created by them during the course of business.

The Audio-Republik retain the right to publish and use the artistic material in any form or format for promotional work. Customers agree implicitly by commission this permission for any and all works undertaken by us.

All copyright terms shall be agreed prior to commencement of work.

All works commissioned are licensed for fair use by the Audio-Republik and as such whereever the work(s) are published, and in whatever format, the Audio-Republik must be represented with the following text "© Audio-Republik" followed by the year of commission/completion.

All licensors and copyright holders retain the right of representation and the Audio-Republik will protect and publish these where-ever the work is published and in whatever format.

Any part of this website where the terms "Royalty Free", "Copyright Free" or "Freeware" are found, these particular objects do not come under the licensing terms of the Audio-Republik and as such can be freely used and distributed without recompense.

The purchase of Full and Complete Exclusive rights is available to interested parties for an agreed fee.

Royalties

The Audio-Republik enforce the following percentage royalties for work(s) owned in part or full by them as:

1. A Mandatory 5% Producers Right at source
2. A 3% Mixing right at source
3. A 2% Mastering right at source
4. A 10% Arrangers right to be negotiated per track at source
5. A 10% Recording right at source for the work(s)
6. A 10% Licensors fee for any and all licensed work(s)

Time Auditing

The Audio-Republik created and use a specific programme to time the work undertaken by them.

As a customer of ours you will have your own session file and this will contain all session information. This information is used to bill you at the correct rate, calculated automatically and including any arrears. It also gives our customers an idea of how they are performing in the studio and a historical record of their projects.

As you can see a record is kept of total time, session name and count, start, end times and arrears. There is a pause button for tea and toilet breaks.

All information produced by the programme is non-negotiable.

Other Important Information

Backing tracks commissioned by customers cannot be used for commercial gain as this would be in violation of the original copyright holders rights.

Notation and Scores commissioned by customers from commercial works cannot be redistributed by them in any format, whole or in part and are purely for personal use.

All customers have a folder and a presence on this server as part of our package with a logon where by they can share work in progress for allowing better use of time. All recorded sessions are held on file and backed up regularly and customers are free to come back and work on material at the agreed hourly rate as many times as they like.
